Give Help

Volunteer

Volunteers are the life blood of foodbanks. Your skills could be just what we need.

Volunteers are the driving force behind foodbanks. There are thousands of volunteers across the UK, helping The Trussell Trust Foodbank Network get emergency food to people in crisis. We want you to enjoy volunteering and there are lots of ways to get involved. Whatever role you choose, you will make a real difference to the life of someone in crisis.

Clothing Room Volunteer

Are you a whizz at organising or love to iron, if so, we need you. Based at Cowes in our preloved clothing rooms, you will be sorting and preparing the clothing donations we receive for our monthly Saturday sales. Join our lovely friendly teams during the week, have a natter and help us turn Fashion into Food.

As and When Volunteers

Do you think you can make a difference and want to volunteer but can’t commit on a regular basis? WE HAVE THE ROLE FOR YOU. The IOW Foodbank is looking for a bank of volunteers that can fill in when needed and join our volunteers’ tree. This will not need to be a regular commitment but on an as and when basis to cover holidays and could be anything from working in our warehouse, supporting in the café or even driving the van.
