Traffic Diversion to Cowes from Newport: 12 May – 4 July

The Isle of Wight Council has confirmed roadworks on the A3020 at Horsebridge Hill from 12 May to 4 July, affecting traffic heading towards Cowes from Newport.

A one-way diversion will be in place via Forest Road, Whitehouse Road, Rolls Hill, and Pallance Road, to support essential works for a new social housing development. The project includes junction improvements and the installation of a right-turn lane to ease future congestion.

Key Details:

• Northbound traffic diverted; southbound traffic remains unaffected.

• Local buses and emergency services can travel both directions through the works.

• Road will be fully open during the Isle of Wight Festival.
