Coronavirus and Foodbanks

24th March 2020

‘As the coronavirus pandemic unfolds in the UK, our main priority is ensuring the safety of everyone who comes to a food bank – whether it’s someone needing help, someone volunteering their time, or someone making a donation.’ – Trussell Trust.

The Isle of Wight Foodbank will continue to run our Cowes, Newport, Ryde, Ventnor and Shanklin sites all the time we have enough volunteer support and are within government guidelines. We are working with the Trussell Trust to ensure we adhere to government advice.

Our continuing also depends on our food supplies. You can currently still donate at your local supermarket in store and online. You can also donate via our website or contact us directly if you would like to make an electronic donation.

What a difference each act of kindness and generosity makes.

Many thanks for your continued support and patience as we learn how best to serve and care for the vulnerable at this time.
