I, Daniel Blake: Ryde

Join us on Sunday 2nd April at Aspire, Ryde to watch a FREE showing of I, Daniel Blake – award winning & moving Film from Ken Loach.

This film has won awards such as the Palme d’Or at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival and the Prix du public at the 2016 Locarno International Film Festival.

The film has been praised by many who find themselves living a life which is not too far from the tale depicted by Daniel Blake. There has been wide praise and criticism of the film, as the film sparked debate throughout the country, along with many criticising the welfare system.

The screening is at 18:00 with discussion groups afterwards.

Refreshments will be available to purchase at the event.

Viewing is free, but free tickets can be obtained here for entry to the event – please book your tickets so the organisers know how many to expect!
