Eat Well Spend Less

We are excited to announce our new scheme for 2016 – Eat Well Spend Less, a free, six week budgeting and cooking course.  When we first started the Isle of Wight foodbank, our aim was to help islanders who for whatever reason couldn’t afford to feed themselves.  Now that we are into our fifth year, feeding over 2400 adults and children over the past six months alone, we’re in the fortunate position to go even further and help our clients address the issues they may have before they find themselves in crisis and needing the help of the foodbank.

We are going to be regularly running the course, which is designed to equip people with the necessary skills they need to prepare and eat healthier food, plan meals, (both from an economic and nutritional point of view) and understand subtle financial management techniques that can enable them to budget more effectively and avoid getting into unintended debt.
